How can an artist address social injustice through her work? My journey began at the age of four amidst my parents’ divorce, revealing the intricacies of human relationships and sparking my curiosity about societal disparities. Drawing became my solace, a medium to explore and question the world. Inspired by the writing of Tolstoy and Orwell, I developed a profound awareness of social injustices. The aftermath of the 1979 Iranian Revolution, the Iraq War, and personal loss further shaped my perspective. Emigrating to Canada in 2004, I carried a belief in the transformative power of art.
